Great Upgrade for My 20-Gallon Tank!

I purchased this sponge filter for my 20-gallon fish tank after realizing my old oneonly about six months oldwas actually designed for tanks up to 10 gallons. Wanting better filtration, I upgraded to medium, which is rated for up to 50 gallons. So far, Ive noticed a definite improvement in water clarity, and my tank stays cleaner for longer. And actually, the filter itself stays a lot cleaner longer.My previous sponge filter clogged quickly, requiring weekly rinsing, which wasnt ideal. This one lasts longer before needing maintenance. One thing I didnt anticipate was the difference in porous structure between sponge filters. My old one had larger holes, making the sponge feel rougher and maybe suck up debris better? Whereas this one has noticeably smaller pores. Im not sure if that affects performance, but its an interesting difference to note.Overall, Im happy with this upgrade and would recommend it to anyone looking for a more efficient sponge filter!

Awesome easy to use

This was my first sponge filter. I'm using it for extra filtration and aeration in a 40 gallon goldfish tank. I have it set up with an adjustable air pump, so I am able to set it up without adding the air stone, the bubbles aren't loud or too much. Goldies seem to love playing in them and I saw an almost immediate improvement in water quality. Super easy to set up, working great.
