This is a good product for those who do not want to invest on very costly Fujifilm lenses. It does its job. The camera is sharp to a good extent. This what this is capable of. It is heavy, so we are sure, that this is a qualty product not a useless stuff. fitment with the camera and to the lens is also good.

The mount was unacceptably tight with my Nikon AI-S 50mm, but finally got it to work. The Fuji X mount was so loose that I had to push the lens into the camera to get infinity focus. The last straw was when the adapter fell apart, dropping my lens four feet onto concrete. Luckily, it was a vintage, solidly-built piece of metal and glass and didn't break, if it had been a modern, plastic lens, it surely would've broken.

Hard to tell what aperture you're in.

This adapter seems to be of high enough quality. If I try I can kind of wiggle it while it is attached, but not enough for it to feel cheap. What I wasn't anticipating was how little travel there is in the aperture adjustment ring. On my older Nikon lenses with aperture rings, it is pretty simple to change the aperture accurately, even without looking. If you remember that you have a f/2 lens attached, for example, it is easy to get to f/5.6 by cranking all the way open, then clicking off 3 stops the other way.With this adapter, there is much less travel between wide open and stopped all the way down. That same movement that get you three stops darker on a lens with a ring, when used on the ring on this adapter, would take you from f/2 to f/22, and of course there is no indication of where you've set the lens if you place it somewhere in the middle. The only way to really know is to use the metering in manual mode, and see how many EV stops the meter moves as you turn the ring, then do the math based on the maximum rating of that particular lens.This is not a defect of this particular product, just something I hadn't fully considered before playing with it. You can try for yourself with a G lens by flicking the aperture tab on the rear of the lens and watching the iris open. See how little movement it takes to open all the way? That's how little precision you'll have with this (or any similar) adapter.The only way to improve this situation would be to introduce some kind of gearing between the ring and the lever, and that's way more complicated and would be more expensive.So, I'm happy with this purchase, but it doesn't make using a G lens as easy as using an older lens with a real aperture ring.
