I made this purchase to cook potatoes, yams and other root tubers. The product does a pretty great job, I wanted the strainer in the cover so that I won't have to use a collander, it does that function well. I like the part to steam vegetables, this is a great bonus also, since it performs two functions. The product is a little light in weight, but it works wonderfully for my purposes. I bought a used one and the quality was excellent, just like new, no signs of wear and tear at all. Over all I'm extremely pleased with my purchase.
