Otostick Baby is an orthopedic corrector for protruding ears made from medical silicone and adhesives. It functions by sticking to the ear and the contiguous part of the head, providing optimum positioning of the ear and, specifically, the cartilage, allowing both to develop properly. Otostick Baby functions as a preventative in the early months of the baby’s life, preventing the cartilage from bending and adopting inadequate positioning due to the babies movements or sleeping positions.
Otostick Baby is an easy-to-use, discrete orthopedic support product which can be used continuously or as needed. Therefore, it is important to follow the placement instructions to ensure its effectiveness.
Placement Instructions: 1. Clean the area with an astringent product, such as an alcohol-based cleanser. Do not use moisturizing or creme-type cleansers. 2. Without removing the protective paper from the corrector, identify the exact point where Otostick is to be applied. 3. Remove the protective paper from the side that goes onto the ear and stick to the ear first. 4. Once Otostick is attached to the ear, remove the protective paper from the other side, and press the ear back against the head, taking great care not to leave hair underneath. 5. Hold the ear against the head firmly for a few seconds so that Otostick adheres correctly.
Removal Instructions: 1. If you decide to remove it when it is still perfectly adhered, it is advisable to use a cotton bud dipped in olive or baby oil and bathe the edges of the corrector. 2. Wait a few minutes for the oil to get under the edges of the corrector, and removal will become effortless.
WHAT IS OTOSTICK BABY - Otostick Baby is an ear corrector for babies and children made of medical grade silicone adhesive. PERMANENT CORRECTIVE EFFECT - Based on a study undertaken by Spanish Pediatric Association, Otostick Baby provides permanent correction in babies and children between 3 months and 6 years of age with an efficacy of 90%, if used continuously for an average of 12 months, wherein the silicone adhesive patches act preventively to inhibit ears from adopting an inadequate position.
