I have been working hard researching/ testing/ experimenting to bring you what I believe is a wonderful shape for art. No need to worry about trying to find the centre either. All the hard work has already been done for you with a tiny centre mark to start your mandala! Or, a light sand will remove it completely. To create a mandala or any art piece where symmetry is desired simply place the template over the centre dot and mark through the template! This quality template is made from silicone and is robust yet flexible and has some stretch. Make as many art stones as you want with this reusable mold! Suitable of all sorts of stone art! The diameter of the Art stone mold design #1 when released from the mold is 3 inches/ 8 cms. The height is 1.7 inches / 4.5 cms. Volume is 160 mls. Making art stones is easy! Make as many as you want with this reusable mold! Suitable for all sorts of stone art! The Process to make your art stones/rocks - You will need to purchase the gypsum powder or a casting powder separately to make your stones/rocks - I like using Ultracal 30 (highest strength gypsum - it is harder, heavier and better for painting than plaster of paris). However most casting powders work really well eg Dental Plaster, Hydrocal plasters or other casting plasters available from hardware shops. Mix the casting powder with water following the directions provided with the mixture. Pour into the mould. Wait approximately 6 hours or overnight. This is the fun bit! - Turn out your art stone/rock. It comes out beautifully smooth! Allow to dry for a day or two. So much joy painting it!!
