Ends are compressed from the cutting process

The ends of the shafts are not sharp cuts. A regular rod cutter was used instead of milling or straight sawing, resulting in slightly bent and compressed ends. This makes them unsuitable for precision shaft mounting if the full length is required. You can file them down or cut them to retain only the straight part, but you will lose about 3–4 mm on each end.
